With a military career spanning four decades, Patrick Cordingley is best known for commanding the 7th Armoured Brigade - the Desert Rats - during the first Gulf War.
Since retiring from the army in 2000 he has become an authorative commentator on international affairs and has appeared on various television programmes and is a regular on BBC Radio 4. He holds a number of trustee positions with various organisations and has written two best selling books.
Patrick has also become a highly sought after motivational and after dinner speaker. Being a popular and well respected commander of many thousands of men, Patrick has great insight regarding what it takes to become a successful leader. In his speeches he shares his experiences and knowledge, along with humourous anecdotes; explaining to the audience the importance of being positive and inspiring confidence. He also explains how careful decision making and team-building are vital, whether it be in a combat situation or in a corporate office.
